I planted my first musa ingens indoors in December here in upstate NY, and have them growing outside now in what I hope is a permanent location. They looked really ragged grown indoors, but are looking healthy now. https://photos.app.goo.gl/2wMFhiuxU6n6eKM36

I NEVER would have thought you could grow bananas in such a cold Zone. I knew about variants of bamboo that could handle cold to Zone 4, but totally dismissed bananas. Good article. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

Wow, that banana with snow on it, wow wow wow.

And also that picture with the lettuce growing out of the living banana, haha I’ve never seen that before!! Though I imagine if I tried that here the grubs would also get into the banana also and slowly kill it
